Oujed Awed Circus Festival in Larache 27-30 June 2019
Illustrated by Clare Nelson - Designed by Abderrahman Assorhani MITO, the Legend For about 50 years, Abdelhamid Akhazan (Mito), the very known circus pedagogue in Larache, has been able to address thousands of people and help them becoming international circus artists. He created an international network of Moroccan Acrobats all around the world. Today, he is the president of Gymnastics & Acrobatics Association and still teaching circus arts for a third generation. Coming to Oujed Awed Circus Festival in Larache, a collaborative project between Jordbro VarldsOrkester (Sweden) and Gymnastics and Acrobatics Association of Larache (Morocco), we will celebrate the life of MITO through a circus/theatre performance directed by Louise Kvarby (Dancer and Choreographer from Sweden) and Jamal Nouman (Musician and Actor from Morocco).
